Kenneth Konias Jr. was accused of killing his partner and running off with the money which was 2 million dollars. He rented a run down building on South West Eighth Street. His neighbor said, “He was quiet, and kept to himself.” “He paid the $500 rent in cash and arrived here with only a black duffel bag.” Mrs. Flowers, his neighbor, stated “He always kept two guns stuffed in his waistband, one on each hip bone. He talked about planning to stay for about a month, and then move to Jamaica. He rarely ever left his house.” Konias later locked Summer, his stripper, out of the house after an argument. Summer broke into the house and took $30,00.00 in cash from his black duffel bag. He told his neighbor that if he found Summer, he’d kill her because he had nothing to lose. The police banged on the door saying “If everyone didn’t leave the house, they’d send dogs in.” Investigators recovered between $1.3 million and $1.5 million dollars from the rundown building. A Florida resident called Pittsburgh police Monday night to say they knew where Konias was staying. He was arrested by Florida FBI agents, Broward County Sheriff's deputies and others shortly after midnight. "I think he may have made the admission that he was remorseful about his activity, some of his activities, in Pittsburgh," Rodriguez said.
