On Tuesday april, 3rd 2012 a AC unit fell on students at Shaler Area Elementary School on scott ave.eight students and five teachers were injured in the incident. The incident was during the fourth grade lunch at 11 a.m. Three of the people injured in the incident were relased from the hospital Wednesday morning. But at the end of the day everyone was in medical care and was being taken care of. There were no critical injuries.
We picked this incident because it is in our school district and some of our brothers and sisters go to that school.
Also the duct work was just redone in 2008 before the school year started. This incident is importnant to the world because when they do duct work they should check their work. Also the district is handleing the incident well also so are the students. So that is why we picked this event to report.
