Kony 2012 is a very serious movie to get awareness for somthing happening in Africa. The movie is 30 minutes long and can be found on Youtube. The movie came out on the internet on March 5th, 2012. The video its self has over 75 million veiws.

The movie is about how a man tries to get the US goverment to stop Joseph Kony. The mans name is Jason Russell. Jason is a father to one son and is super pationate about stoping Kony because of his son. He learned about Kony when he took a trip to Uganda and met a young child named Jacob. Jacob told Jason about Kony and how he takes kids and makes them kill their parents. After he takes the children he makes the boys into soldiers for his amy, and the girls into sex slaves. Turns out Jacob is on of the kids that got kidnapped. The kids that get taken are called " the invisable children". They are called this because not many people know about them, but the people that do won"t help. This led Jason to promise Jacob he would help him and all of the other kids.

After Jason got home he was determend to keep his promise, and he did. Jason went to congress men and other people involved with the US. They told him "It's not in our country so we should'nt have to worry about it". This made Jason very upset, and he was still determinded to keep his promise. Jason started getting people together to form a protest. Once he got enough people he went back to the congress men, they said "Not enough people care about the topic to do something". Jason would still not give up, this is when he started making flyers, posters, stickers, braclets, and a facebook page. He started handing out and posting up these items. He made the movie to get more people to know and care. He got 75 million views and millions of people to care about the topic. This is why many of you people have seen the name Kony on facebook.

The goverment finally cared and sent troops over to help stop Kony. They could never find Kony, and the goverment will soon bring home the troops if they dont. This is why we need your help to raise awarness to keep our troops over there. If your do this maybe one day the Invisible Children will become visible again. PLEASE HELP THE CHILDREN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
