From March 2nd to March 3rd 2012 a deadly tornado outbreak occured over part of Southern United States in to the ohio valley region. The tornado caused at least thirty-nine deaths. Twenty-one in Kentucky, thirteen in Indiana, three in Ohio, and one in Alabama. Georgia also reported a tornado related death. The outbreak was the second deadlist in the early March for the United States on record. The deadlist tornado was in 1966 called the Candlstick park tornado.
A snow storm added to the trubles in Indiana and Kentucky. Three to five in. of snow fell while recovery efferts were being made. The wet heavy snow added even more damege to the bildings and houses. The snow has caused a 20ft. by 30ft. emergency tent to collapse. Streets were filled with emergency workers, insurance inspectors, and security personel. As shop owners and home owners return to their dwellings to asses the damage. We picked this topic because we were amazed of the force of nature.
We are lucky that we don't get many tornadoes or other serious natural disasters where we live. We can't imagine having to start from scratch.
