Bomb Threats On Pitt University
By: CJ and Jerry

For the past two months the University of Pittsburgh has received numerous bomb threats. Begining mid- February they have received over 20 bomb threats causing class delays, cancelations and evacuations. Pitt and Allegheny police arrested suspect; Mark Lee Crangle, a sixtyfive year-old man from Hudson New York, for harrasment and terroristic threats. It is said by the Pittsburgh Tribune Review that Crangle sent threatining emails to four Pitt proffesors as well as to WTAE TV, saying "Tell Pitt cops bombs are on campus".
Convicted once already of threatening to kidnap in 2003, Krangle posted his thoughts about the bomb threats on Facebook stating, "I believe more than one person is involved, directed by a mastermind". Krangle also said, in a summed up comment on Facebook by ABC News, tied the bomb threats to the Occupy Wall Street and the Pittsburgh Movement.

The reason why I think this is important is because the kids in Pittsburgh should know of major happenings like this in their home town. It also teaches us not to things that will put others in danger. We have also learned that when their are threats torwards our hometown, our police will stop at nothing to protect us.
